Foo Fighters’ “Concrete and Gold Tour” Adds More Dates to Extend North American Tour 2017-2018

One of the most popular tours of 2017, the Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold Tour has added seven new dates to their North American leg.  In addition to a second show at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, the band will be extending their tour with September and October 2018 with dates in Seattle, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Portland, and San Jose. Coldplay North American Leg of “A Head Full of Dreams” Tour Kicks off August 1st

Yesterday, Coldplay kicked off the second North American leg of their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour at at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  This is a follow-up to the first visit to North America in July, August and September of 2016.  The band’s seventh tour, it is a return to larger arenas and stadium and in total they will play over 100 shows across five continents.  Their latest EP, Kaleidoscope, came out last month. Boy George to Headline iHeart80s Inaugural Birthday Bash Concert with Martha Quinn at SAP Center in San Jose on August 26th

iHeartMedia San Francisco’s iHeart80s @ 103.7 is hosting a massive ‘80s Music event in the San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday, August 26th at SAP Center in San Jose.  The special concert event and the inaugural “iHeart80s Birthday Bash” live concert event will feature Boy George as the headlining artists as well as special guests A Flock Of Seagulls, The Romantics, Farrington & Mann of the Original When In Rome UK, Tiffany, Animotion, Tommy Tutone, and Nu Shooz. Psychedelic Furs Bring “The Singles Tour” to North America; Joined by Robyn Hitchcock

English post punk/New Wave band Psychedelic Furs embark on an extensive tour of North America and the UK starting next week, with a series of concerts keeping them busy through October.  The modern rock pioneers will be bringing the hits on their concert series, The Singles Tour.  With seven studio albums and 22 singles, fans can expect to hear favorites like “Pretty in Pink”, “Heartbreak Beat”, “Love My Way”, and “The Ghost In You”.  Joining The Furs on tour is English singer-songerwriter Robyn Hitchcock. Duran Duran Making Two Stops in Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area in July

Following up on their tour dates earlier this year in March and April, Duran Duran will be kicking off a new leg of their 2017 tour with two stops in the Bay Area in California, first at Fox Theater in Oakland on July 7th and then at the Masonic in San Francisco the next night. The band continues to support their 14th studio album (and first with Warner Bros. Records), the excellent Paper Gods, which was produced by the legendary Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Josh Blair, and Mr Hudson.  [Read more…]

Train “Play That Song Tour” with O.A.R. and Natasha Bedingfield Coming To Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena At Harvey’s on July 9th

Train’s latest, their “Play That Song Tour”, will be wrapping up it’s 45 date North American leg in July.  Toward the end of this tour they will be stopping at Stateline, Nevada at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena At Harvey’s on July 9th.  The band will be playing songs from their latest album, including the hit single “Play That Song”, as well as favorites such as “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Drops of Jupiter” and  “Drive By”.  Supporting the tour is O.A.R and Natasha Bedingfield. Blondie & Garbage Co-Headlining “Rage and Rapture Tour” Kicking Off At Mountain Winery on July 5th

Miike Snow & Phantogram Coming to Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno on June 30th

Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow and duo Phantogram will be coming to Grand Sierra Resort & Casino’s Grand Theatre at the end of June as part of their sometimes intersecting Summer concert tours.  Both acts released their third studio albums in 2016, with Miike Snow’s iii and Phantogram’s Three each receiving fan and critic accolades (Rock Subculture actually names Phantogram’s album #1 in my end of the year feature).  With both artists on the same bill, it is certainly a show not to be missed on June 30th, or at one of the other dates on their respective tours.
