Peter Hook & The Light will be touring North America in September, performing New Order’s Movement (1981) and Power, Corruption, & Lies (1983) in their entirety. I am a huge New Order fan, and am thrilled to have an opportunity to experience Peter Hook’s performance of these incredible albums. Regeneration Tour, which went through some line-up changes earlier this year, has settled it’s dates and cities with a few different configurations for different dates on the east and west coasts, closing out the tour with one show in Mexico City. Artists participating in the tour include Erasure’s Andy Bell, Howard Jones, Information Society, Berlin with Terri Nunn, A Flock of Seagulls, Men Without Hats, and Naked Eyes. My Bloody Valentine, the alternative rock band from Dublin, Ireland, will be making a handful of rare headlining concert appearances in the United States during the worldwide tour, which will feature a number of dates at popular music festivals. American alternative rock band Weezer will be playing a mix of festival and stand alone headlining dates throughout North America in July and September, and then embark on their next “Weezer Cruise” out of Florida in early 2014. Huey Lewis and The News, in the midst of their “Sports 30th Anniversary Tour”, will be coming to the west coast in July, playing concerts in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and throughout California. The band then closes out more on the east coast for the majority of August. Also out is a new release of the seminal album, Sports (30th Anniversary Edition), with all remastered tracks and choice selected live recordings of each of the songs on a second disc (if purchased as a CD; also available as “Mastered for iTunes” on the popular music service).
